Spy cameras have been through a considerable evolution since they were first invented, from tiny wooden cameras to undetectable undercover technologies.
Before the hidden spy camera business evolved, misdemeanour scenes were recorded by daguerreotype photography. These cameras could capture views, but nothing was compact enough to be taken around in the pocket or sophisticated enough to take still photos of motion.
